Advice: AIDS

India is unfortunately famous for his bad record on AIDS. Avoid anything that could bring the virus in contact with your blood. Interventions in a medical environment shouldn’t be a problem. But stay away from barbers, piercing, tattoos…

No need to recommend you to use condoms. It is a must! Even in western countries if you are not sure of your partner’s past.

Check my previous post on AIDS.

well, i checked the cia world factbook and was a bit surprised to know that India is doing much better than I thought on this field.

HIV/AIDS - adult prevalence rate:
India: 0.90%
Much lower than many african countries and hardly more than Spain (first european country in the listing with 0.70%) and US (0.60%).

Hi, thinking India's HIV/AIDS percentage is low and therefore we are good at AIDS management is misleading because we're not- it'(s just that we have such a whopping population that a percentage is not a true reflection of the number of HIV/AIDS infected persons here... In terms of sheer numbers we beat a lot of countries, I can tell you. And the day India has a relatively high PERCENTage, it'll be a lot worse than Africa!

In fact, we have the highest AIDS population in the world if I'm not mistaken.
