Local buses are extremely cheap but quite confusing in big cities. If you decide to take one, be aware that:
-the bus doesn’t stop but hardly slows down. Be ready to get out of the bus on time.
-the front part of the bus is usually reserved to ladies.
-the fare is not to be paid to the driver. Someone will come to collect the money once you are in the bus.
-the buses are usually crowded. One might feel a bit oppressed. A friend of mine turned crazy. After a few weeks in India, she couldn’t handle the crowd anymore. She strongly slapped the person next to her in the bus.
-Eve teasing is frequent in crowded buses.
